The Grand Oaks Resort
Relax in the heart of Victoria's Gold Rush history, The Grand Oaks Resort offers 20 beautifully appointed rooms, contemporary and alfresco dining and extensive function, conference, and wedding facilities. Landscaped gardens, outdoor tennis court, pool, sauna, and spa, plus our very own ‘Little Beechworth’ chapel residing on the property.
Perched up in the Mayday Hills, on seven acres, hidden among the grand oak trees, overlooking the Beechworth township, and stunning historic bushland around. Be sure to book ahead for dinner, music, events and accommodation.
Accommodation: Set among the peaceful gardens and Oak trees of Mayday Hill’s, guests choose between our double, or King or Superior King rooms. Guests can enjoy a game of tennis on our courts, take a swim in the pool, or relax on the deck with a drink. All rooms are air-conditioned, with flat-screen TV, in-room appliances, and each with a private bathroom. Guests also have access to free Wi-Fi, and complimentary parking on site.
The hotel is within strolling distance to Beechworth’s main street, other cafes, galleries, historic tourist attractions, and the peaceful Chinese Gardens. The Grand Oaks Resort is five minutes from Beechworth’s CBD, 30 minutes from both Wodonga (North-east) and Wangaratta (West), with the Falls Creek and Hotham snow fields both under two hours’ drive away.
Restaurant: Indulge for breakfast (7-days) or dinner with the seasonal best, and local north-east Victorian produce. We offer dinner five nights a week, where we look to showcase locally sourced produce, and the kitchen garden to pair our modern Australian dishes with award-winning local wines.
Functions: The Grand Oaks Resort is naturally graced with all the elements for a magical celebration. Surrounded by large Oak trees and other native surrounds, the neighbouring Alpine valleys, waterfalls, and sparkling Lake Sambell will only add further inspiration to your next wedding or corporate event.
Catering from smaller function room hire to large-scale weddings and events, our in-house chefs will cater to your needs. We also have our very own ‘Little Beechworth’ Chapel, available for your own private ceremony on the grounds!
