With 10 days and more than 600 kilometres of riding, this year is going to be the greatest Great Vic ever. We’ll pedal through the beautiful coastal and forest landscapes along the Limestone Coast, the Great Ocean Road and through the Great Otway National Park.

You can choose from 5-day and 10-day options as we ride from Robe to Torquay.

Victoria’s 7 Peaks Ride is an at-your-own pace cycling challenge which runs from Friday 25th October 2019 to 27th April 2020, taking you up winding mountain roads, around steep turns and past spectacular views right to the top of seven Victorian Alpine Resorts.

This summer marks the 13th season of the 7 Peaks! You've got a full six months to conquer your goals.

For the 2019/2020, we've heard your feedback and made it even easier to achieve your goal. All you need to do this year is to join the official 7 Peaks Ride Strava Club. There's no registration, no app, no passport. Just join the Club and start riding the peaks, recording your activity on Strava.

High Country Charity Ride (HCCR)

High Country Charity Ride (HCCR)

February/March

The HCCR is a four day cycling event which raises money for cancer research via the Tour De Cure charity. 

It starts in Wangaratta and travels through the high country of Bright, Omeo, Falls Creek and Myrtleford. The first day starts in Wangaratta and follows the rail trail to Beechworth and Stanley, after some lunch in Myrtleford the bunch again follows the rail trail to Bright. 

The second day starts in Bright and includes the assent of Mt Hotham and concludes on Omeo. The third day includes another large climb being Falls Creek and stay in accommodation on the mountain. The fourth day you will travel back to Wangaratta via Bright, Myrtleford and Whorouly and conclude after a hard four days. The event is organised by local cycling group BDA Racing and all money raised will be donated to the Tour De Cure.

It’s simple – the fastest combined climb time (female and male) up Tawonga Gap, Mt Hotham and Falls Creek will be crowned the King and Queen of Peaks Challenge. It’s not just the respect that will be earned, both riders will go home with $2,000 cash! 

KOMs and QOMs will also be up for grabs for each individual climb, with $1,000 available for the fastest male and female up each of Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham and Falls Creek. That’s $6,000 in total prize money.


The Route

Peaks Challenge Falls Creek is a 235km loop ride starting at Falls Creek and riding up Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham and through Omeo before heading up the back of Falls Creek.

The back of Falls will hit you like a tonne of bricks. With 200km in your legs, you’ll quickly learn why the first pinch is called WTF Corner, and the whole ascent The Beast. It’s a steep and relentless climb with little reprieve. Do you have what it takes?
