Take a walk through our fantastic 'Beechworth Honey Experience' centre which focuses on education about bees, the environment, packing and distribution and showcasing the sensational range of Beechworth Honey products.
Experience our interactive display and immerse yourself in the history of honey from stories told long ago. Accompany a beekeeper through dramatic rural landscapes and breathe... the pure fresh air whilst gathering honey from towering eucalyptus forests and valley grasses. Learn why bees are disappearing at an alarming rate and why we want to keep these little heros buzzing.
Watch how a modern day packing plant and distribution system takes the liquid gold from the hives through to your breakfast toast or drizzled onto fresh fruit – 100% pure and natural as nature meant it to be. Help the kids put together the giant jigsaw or find the queen bee in the live bee display.
Experience the delicious differences, taste by taste when you sample our extensive range of pure Australian honey. When you visit Beechworth take some time out to to visit the Indigo Vineyard located just 8 minutes from town on the Wangaratta Road.
Free Tour
Jump aboard our Shuttle leaving from the bus stop opposite the Beechworth Information Centre every hour from 11am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. You can also book a pick up by calling the vineyard. After your tour we will deliver you back to the Beechworth Information Centre or your accommodation.
Free Taste Experience
At Indigo we do things differently.You sit down with a set of Riedel glasses, tasting notes and a complimentary vineyard plate. We will guide you through a structured tasting of Indigo’s reds and whites. Enjoy and taste at your leisure in serene surrounds. This is a "Must Do" when you visit Beechworth.
We welcome Groups of 8 to 20 with prior notice. The Cellar Door is open Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 5pm. At Indigo we have more than just another Cellar Door.
Free Live Music : Last Sunday of each month. Picnics : Pick up a picnic hamper and a bottle of wine at the Cellar Door for a great light lunch. You can either enjoy this in the shade at cellar door, or why not take a stroll down by the beautiful creek.
