The Historic Hotel Nicholas (originally the Aliance, formerly the Railway - 1857), offers allows you to indulge in good food and coffee or make a selection from our extensive wine list, featuring many from the local region. The decor and facilities of the various dining areas at the Hotel Nicholas are ideal for weddings, parties, conferences and meetings. Our catering team takes pride in creating menus that meet your dining, catering and budgetary requirements.  We can cater for small group luncheons for a dozen through to carefully planned weddings and gala-themed dinners up to 100! The Hotel Nicholas is equiped to cater for your function Off-site if required.

Accommodation : The Hotel Nicholas has two bed and breakfast suites decorated in the Art Deco style. Both rooms have an ensuite, electric blankets, TV/DVD player, central heating/airconditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, access to a private balcony and the upstairs Art Deco Parlour. Children are welcome and a porta cot, high chair and stroller are provided. One room has a queen bed, a single bed and room for a folding roll away bed and is therefore suitable as a family room and the second room has a king bed which can be divided creating two singles beds.

We pride ourselves on offering a very friendly, personalised service, with as much assistance in planning your special day as you require. We are more than happy to cater to your individual requirements, to ensure that perfect wedding.

Fronted by beautiful gardens, the graceful turn of the century elegance of The Old Priory’s archway fringed verandah and lacework balcony remains unchanged.  A large stage area is available, as is a dance floor and a cosy open fire in winter. The gardens are available for ceremonies and photographs and the balconies for sherries and savouries. Many fabulous backdrops for photographs are to be found on the property and in close proximity to it.

At The Old Priory we feature a fully licensed function room which seats 100 to 130 people. We also have a range of other meeting rooms available and facilities include OHP, VCR, Whiteboard, Tea and Coffee Stand,  etc.
